One day, while at the beach, the Dark kids, with their cousin, Joshua Fletcher, were having fun. Tom was playing in the surf. Joshua and Drake happily chasing crabs, and Kitty was burying Rose in the sand.
A commotion came clammoring down the beach. Three men chasing a dog who is terrified out of its wits. "HELP HELP HELP" it cried to Roses ears. To all others, it was screach ing "YIP YIP YIP". This mongrel like dog was almost sounding like a Chihuahua being kicked across a basketball court. Very displeased to be where it is.
"They're gonna hit me again!" It cried as it passed Rose. Upon hearing this Rose changed form to the most ferocious she could immagine, a MIGHTY LIONESS! She heaved herself out of the sand, and began to hunt the unsuspecting men who were abusing the dog. This is a grievous thing. You should NEVER hurt an animal before the great ANIMALION!!
Tom, while playing is the surf, was equally angry. He launched his trusty stick, which aggressively flopped in the water, about three foot away, making an angry splash, innefectively, at the attackers.
Kitty sneaks up behind one, invisible and tries to throw him into the water. She succeeds in making him aware of her presence, but nothing more.
This commotion gains the attention of the other children. Drake draws his Dream Sword, and attacks the abusers, wounding one in the arm. While Josh makes his sparks, but misses with the fantastic attack.
Now the abusers have noticed the children. Somehow, these kids pack enough of a firepower to be a little dangerous. They begin to attack back, taking wild swings at the children. These were 12 year old schoolyard bullies. Used to being obeyed, but not fought against.
Rose, still in lioness guise, actually bites her victim, taking a large chunk from the attacker. WOW!!! he tasted bad. Kitty falls down from her attack, still watching, she cannot believe her luck, she's stunned. Drake takes another swing with his Dream Sword, but misses, and Josh sparks another miss as an attack.
Poor Tom, hes still in the water, trying to get to the family, they're no longer abusing the dog, but his siblings. CANT HAVE THAT!!!! He kicks into high gear! The abusers hear the pitter patter of Toms feet as he rushes across the water at HYPER SPEED! and lethally punches one of the attackers in the gut at full tilt, knocking the bully to the ground, only to have the boy SEVERELY eviscerated by a raking claw of the lioness. One down, two to go!
Drake now has a plan!!! He deftly scoops up some sand and tosses it into one of the boys eyes. Effectively blinding him. The boy begins to flail his stick, and thumps Kitty upon the head. Kitty, now angry, kicks him in the shins, as Josh sends another ineffective burst at him.
The other remaining boy tries to hit Rose with his stick, but misses. This is not helping Rose's mood, she changes to another mighty creature. An APPALOOSA!!! A mighty horse, known for its freckles vicisiousness, and horrible hooves. She tromps the abuser, and convinces him to play dead. Now theres only one left.
Joshua grinz maliciously at the remaining abuser, as Drake tosses more sand into his eyes. "Time for the grand finale!" Josh utters as he sends another shot at him. Pink juice with green bubbles emits from Josh's fingers and lick up the boys body. The abuser dances across the sand as if his toe was stuck in a light socket. With all his hairs on end, he lies down abruptly and finds solace in the blackness of nothing for a while.
"They're all CRAZY" is the chant that Rose hears, as the dog keeps its reckless trek down the beach. Converting to speedy form, Cheetah style Rose began to burst down the beach, to retrieve the victimized dog. Half way there, a whisper blows by Rose, and then a doppler yip half a moment later. The dog has now disappeared. Tommy, ever the train wreck, has retrieved the dog, and taken him to the rest of the family.
The dog was so scared that it messed itself. "Youre all nuts!!! " it was screaching when Rose got back. "Youre all NUTS" it kept repeating. Rose shifted to Golden Retriever, so that she could converse with the poor puppy. "MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!! It screamed "ARE YOU DOG OR CAT!!!??!!" It took a while, but she finally did get him calmed down enough to get the story.
It seems that the owner of the dog was not paying attention. The dog needed to go outside, and finally did escape. The three boys happened along, and decided it was good to abuse the dog. The dog was just escaping, and now wanted to go home. The family decided to escourt the poor dog home, just to protect it. The dog explains that the girl who owns it is pretty, but he does not know her name. After much discussion, the family decides to allow the dog to smell its own way home, they would make sure its protected.
On the journey back to the dogs house, Tom kicks into hyper speed, and punches some random man walking down the sidewalk. "WHAT did you do THAT for!!??!!!" Shouts Kitty. "He stole her purse!" responds Tommy, pointing at an old lady, who was definetly purseles. Joshua, quick to use his powers, tries to shock the thief, but difinitively misses. Kitty, the shin splitter, attempts her signature move, but misses. Drake, draws his Dream Sword, calls down the Fires of Heaven, points at the Enemy, and watches as nothing happens. He shakes the sword to get it to work correctly... nothing....(Oh yeah, only works in the dreams.... ) The thief, much amused at this, calmly kicks Drake in the gut, doubling him over in pain.
Rose, aware that her siblings are in combat, stays with her task. This dog needs protection too, they can handle it.
Tommy, Protective Train Wreck Tommy, Winds up for another massive punch by Running Hyper Speed around the block and then slamming him in the gut, doubling him over, forcing the purse snatcher to lose his lunch. Joshua, Zaps a gnat passing by the thiefs ear. Kitty, angry now, uses her signature move, the shin splinter. Now the poor purse thief is in trouble, he cannot breathe, and his shin hurts. Holding both, he falls over at Drakes feet. Drake, angry at the thief, punches him out, and takes the purse back to the old lady, who gives them each a dollar for thier help.
Rose escourts the dog back to its owner. She opens the door, and lets the dog in, and runs away, so as to not be seen.
Mission Accomplished.
